Meet Nikki!
Nikki is a 2-year-old, 16-lb mini Aussie mix with the sweetest, most gentle soul. She’s a soft, sensitive girl who may be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a loving, loyal companion.
Nikki is doing beautifully adjusting to city life and gains confidence every day. She loves her walks, is excellent on leash, and even wakes up excited for her harness each morning. She’s curious about new people and enjoys exploring the world at her own calm, steady pace.
At home, Nikki is an absolute dream. She’s quiet, mellow, and very easygoing. Her crate is her happy place—she chooses it to relax, has no separation anxiety, and settles comfortably when left alone. Evenings are for bully sticks, belly rubs, and cozy downtime.
She’s mostly housetrained and uses pee pads when needed, with continued improvement as her outdoor confidence grows. Nikki is eager to please and will thrive with a patient adopter who enjoys gentle training and positive reinforcement.
Nikki can be a bit unsure around other dogs but is not reactive. With calm, structured socialization, she’ll continue building confidence and learning that other pups aren’t so scary.
Looking for a sweet, low-key companion who brings peace, not chaos? Nikki might be your perfect match.
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, spayed/netuered, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
To apply for Nikki, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal.
