Chappo is a young Chihuahua who is still building his self-confidence after coming from a hoarding situation. The world is a bit overwhelming for him right now, and he’s learning—slowly and bravely—that people can be kind and safe. Chappo will do best in a calm, patient home where he’s given time and space to grow at his own pace.
What Chappo does know for sure is that he loves other dogs. Having a confident canine companion to show him the ropes would be a huge help as he continues to come out of his shell. With consistency, gentle encouragement, and lots of understanding, Chappo has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful little companion. If you have a soft heart and a steady home, Chappo is ready to start his next chapter with you. 💙Adoption Hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.

Our adoption process is based on making the right match. Though people can apply for a specific animal, we would like to know more about lifestyle and match a pet with that lifestyle. For example, we would not want to match an active dog with an inactive one. Therefore, our primary concern is the interview process and getting to know the potential adopter.
