I have been working with the Behavior and Training team here at OHS for consistency and am looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. You'll need to meet with me multiple times before taking me home.

Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.

I may be shy at first, but once we get to know each other I will shower you with love!

I'm very active and will need positive outlets for my energy.

The staff here say I'm being dramatic, but it feels like I'll die when I'm not getting attention or near my people!

I can't wait to show my new family how playful I am!

I had so much fun meeting another dog here in the shelter. My friends at OHS think I would be great at making new dog friends!

House Training: I have a history of housetraining struggles.

The type of home I'm looking for:

I may do best in a home where there is another dog to help boost my confidence and play with.

I would flourish in a quiet, calm home without shared walls. Sometimes when left alone, I think the world is ending and sing the song of my people.

I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted.

Meet and greets are done on a first-come/first-served basis. There may be a wait time during our busiest times, including the weekends.

We do not offer holds on any animals at this time.

Additional adoption info

Oregon Humane Society’s Portland and Salem campuses are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days per week. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.

When you come to the shelter and see a pet you are interested in meeting, please take note of the pet’s name and visit the front desk in the lobby. Our Customer Care team will be happy to assist you with the next steps.
