My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ghost (A137717) is a 1-year-and-8-month-old husky mix who weighed 38 lbs at intake!

12/20/25 Ghost, previously Arctic, is back at the shelter due to no fault of his own. The landlord's policies changed, meaning his most recent owners were not allowed to keep him. Ghost was described as being gentle, outgoing and friendly. He was said to be kennel trained and housebroken. In his most recent home, Ghost did not have much interaction with kids, dogs or cats. He was said to do great with adults, even strangers. If you are interested in being Ghost's forever home, please give us a call!

09/29/25 This hyper boy is Arctic! Arctic is back at the shelter because he was a bit too much for his last owner. He was described as an outgoing and friendly boy with a lot of energy. Arctic was known to jump on people and was described as excitable around children. He may initially bark at strangers but does warm up quickly. Arctic would highly benefit from attending a basic obedience class to continue working on his manners. His prior owner noted that without frequent walks, he would have accidents indoors. He was also known to get into the trash and chew on things when left unsupervised. Arctic would benefit from being kenneled trained! He is looking for a home that will be able to work with him and keep him stimulated and out of trouble! If you are interested in meeting Arctic, please let us know!

08/05/25 Arctic, previously known as Ice, is back at the shelter and looking for his new family to love! He was described as a wonderful dog, but sadly, his adoptive owner had some medical concerns arise that prevented them from continuing with his care. Arctic was said to be a very active boy who would love a fenced-in yard to play in! Arctic was said to be kennel trained, housebroken, and rides well in a car! He was described as very friendly towards strangers and has done well with other dogs while in their care. If you are interested in meeting this happy boy, please let us know!

05/09/25 This stunning young man is Ice! Ice arrived at the shelter due to no fault of his own, but rather some changes in his previous owner's life that prevented them from keeping him. Ice was described as being outgoing, friendly, and affectionate. He can be rough when playing and has been known to jump on people. He can be quite the chewer and has been known to be vocal as well. He's a husky! Ice may need some help with basic manners, but he is very eager to learn! He was said to do well with other large-ish dogs, but he has never been around small dogs. From the age of 6 months, Ice did live a cat and was said to have done well. He was said to ride well in the car and to be kennel trained and housebroken. Ice does not have experience with kids or babies, but he was said to do very well with strangers and all manner of adults. Please make sure to do slow introductions with any little ones to allow for the best chance of success. Ice is looking for an active home that loves to play! If you think that is you, please give the shelter a call!December 22, 2025, 2:58 pm
