Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Petite, playful, and full of personality, Allie is a fun-loving party animal who doesn’t let her size slow her down. She has a signature rough-and-rowdy play style that is a joy to watch, though she truly shines when paired with respectful dog friends who can match her energy. When she isn’t busy chasing after her favorite tennis balls, this thoughtful girl reveals her hidden talent: being the ultimate world-class couch potato.
Allie is an affectionate soul who blossoms beautifully when given a little gentle encouragement. While she has a spunky side, she is a deeply sweet girl who will quite literally melt into your lap the moment you invite her up for snuggles. If you are looking for a petite companion who offers the perfect mix of rowdy playtime and quiet, devoted affection, Allie is ready to bring her heart and her hustle to your home.
The adoption fee for all dogs includes spay/neuter, basic vaccination, parasite preventative, and a 24PetWatch Microchip. Our SoHumane adoption packet includes: Medical summary report for your newly adopted dog, coupons, and additional post-adoption information. Dog adoption fees vary, starting at $225.00 SoHumane is located at:

More about this shelter
More than 95 years of lifesaving efforts invested into our community. SoHumane provides quality care for dogs and cats while working to make a difference in the pet overpopulation problem. Annually, SoHumane serves approximately 1,600 companion animals. In 2022 we successfully adopted out 1,275 animals, and saved 427 animals from euthanasia at other shelters through our Saving Train program.
SoHumane is a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of companion animals. Mae Richardson founded the Humane Society of Jackson County in 1928 as an all-volunteer organization that initially provided services for displaced dogs and horses.
