My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger may be called a baby panther, but this sleek black beauty is all charm and mischief in a perfectly compact package. Fresh from Salinas yes, the Salad Bowl of the World Ginger proves that not all great produce is green. Some of it is glossy, four legged, and purrs.

With a shiny black coat and curious eyes, Ginger moves through the world like a tiny house panther on patrol. Playful, confident, and full of personality, Ginger loves exploring, showing off athletic skills, and soaking up attention from human admirers.

Despite the fierce panther look, Ginger is sweet, social, and very much a people cat. If you’ve been dreaming of a mini panther with a big personality and a sense of humor baked right in, Ginger is ready to leap straight into your heart.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
