Meet Winnie (A564379) and prepare to fall a little bit in love.
Winnie is brand new to our shelter after arriving as a stray who was never reclaimed, and she has wasted absolutely no time showing us what a special girl she is. She is happy, playful, and incredibly attentive. Outside, she is far more interested in you than all the exciting smells around her, which honestly feels like a compliment of the highest order.
On a leash, Winnie is a dream. She walks beautifully and spends most of the walk staring up at you like you are the most fascinating thing she has ever seen. She knows how to sit, is respectful, and does not do much jumping. She has that rare mix of good manners and joyful energy that makes you smile without even trying.
Winnie has done well with male dogs and handles herself appropriately if another dog gets a little too pushy. She is confident without being rude, playful without being overwhelming, and very in tune with the people around her. Once the fun is over, she is more than happy to switch into cuddle mode and soak up affection.
Cute, smart, affectionate, and polite. Winnie is the kind of dog who makes you feel chosen. Come meet her and see for yourself.
Winnie is guesstimated to be 2 years old and weighs 50 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative.
Ready to meet Winnie? All you have to do is stop by our shelter at 4950 Triana Blvd and head to our dog areas. You can find her in kennel D27. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID

If you are interested in adopting an animal: 1) Write down the Animal ID # . 2) Make sure to mention Animal ID # when visiting or calling. 3) Remember all adoptions stop 30 minutes prior to closing time. 3) You will not be allowed to place a hold on the animal. 4) It cannot be shipped to you. 5) Before adopting it, you can spend time with the animal outside or in a "meet and greet" room. Please ask for assistance. 6) We take cash, checks, debit cards, VISA and Mastercard as a method of payment. **IMPORTANT: Huntsville Animal Services cannot guarantee that any animal will still be available for adoption as we do not hold animals for anyone under any circumstances. Animals are adopted on a first come, first serve basis. You may want to call and ask if one is still available prior to visiting the shelter. When you adopt a pet, it will stay at the shelter and be taken to the veterinarian of your choice where it will be spayed or neutered before going to its new home. If it is already spayed or neutered, it can go home with you upon adoption. My adoption cost is very affordable and includes my adoption fee, spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, license (if you live within Huntsville city limits), and microchip.
ADOPTION FEES
Cats seven months and older are currently $35 that includes spay or neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, microchip, city license tag if applicable, feline AIDS/LEUKEMIA test, and may also include other basic vaccinations when applicable. Kittens six months and younger are $50.

If you desire to give the gift of a new pet, bring that person with you and allow them to pick out their new family member.
