Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I’m Winston, a resilient, lovable bulldog mix with soulful eyes that will melt you instantly. Then I will reel you in with my smooshy, adorable face!
I’ve had a difficult journey to be ready for my forever home. I came to the Humane Society of York County as a stray, terribly emaciated and missing fur from my health being neglected.
I went immediately into a loving foster home, where my body and spirit have healed wonderfully. My foster family says the best four words to describe me are friendly, quiet, calm and easy.
I love people and am affectionate with everyone I meet. I’m comfortable in a house full of people and love hanging out with the humans. I haven’t had a lot of interactions with other dogs, but my limited greetings have gone well.
I’m a quiet guy (well, other than some impressive snoring skills). I may not be a big barker, but I definitely let you know when I’m excited and get my whole back end in motion!
I don’t mind spending time in my crate, but I much prefer being with people. I’ve done my best to show my excellent house manners in my foster home.
I’m highly treat-motivated and I’m a champion eater – not picky about my food and treats, and I take them gently. I love to eat and I have a sixth sense about knowing when it’s dinner time!
I’m basically a guy who gets along easily. I love ear rubs and a good neck and back scratch, I want to be with my people, and I don’t even mind getting baths. I like stuffy toys and a good chew toy or tug rope. I’m also a good leash walker.
I’m expected to be a medium size guy when I finish regaining weight. I’m still a young guy, with an estimated birth date of December 2022.
After living a life of neglect, then recovering with TLC from my fosters, I’m ready for a forever family where my affection and loyalty are returned! If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment.
