Meet Casper, the friendly Weimaraner! At 3 years old and 65 pounds, this handsome guy is a big-hearted cutie with a personality to match. Although he’s only been at the shelter a short time, he has already won over our staff and volunteers. Casper is a social boy who gets along well with everyone, including children. While he loves playing with other dogs, his enthusiasm can be a bit much for some, so we require a meet-and-greet with any resident pups. Casper is already a pro at `sit,` `down,` and `paw.` Best of all, he is kennel-trained and potty-trained when kept on a consistent schedule!
Casper is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. You can visit him at the shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

If you are adopting a dog, we recommend a dog meet and greet with your current dogs.

Cat and Dog survey may be filled out online at babinskifoundation.org, or in person at the facility.

The staff will review your application! Please bring all necessary documents such as pet lease agreements signed by your landlord.

OUR STORY
The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
