Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Starlight Starlight is a beautiful, petite Husky with a gentle soul and soft eyes that tell you she’s still figuring things out. The shelter environment can feel overwhelming for a sensitive girl like her, so right now she prefers to take things slow and warm up at her own pace. With a little time and patience, you can see the curiosity starting to peek through as she finds her footing.
Starlight is the kind of dog who will truly blossom once she feels safe and understood. We believe there’s a silly, playful Husky hiding just beneath the surface, waiting for the right person to show her the world isn’t such a scary place. She’ll thrive with an adopter who can offer consistency, kindness, and a calm environment where trust can grow naturally.
If you’re someone who finds joy in watching a shy dog come out of her shell and become your loyal companion, Starlight may be your perfect match. Give her the time she needs, and she’ll reward you with quiet affection, growing confidence, and the magic of seeing her shine.
Starlight has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match! Check out her playgroup video here:
To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
