My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🖤 Meet Shakula 🖤
Shakula is a young, beautiful black cat with a story of resilience and love. One look at her unique tail — bent into a tight little U from an old injury — tells you she’s been through a lot, but it only adds to her charm.

Shakula came to us as a pregnant stray from a local shelter after she went into labor there. Sadly, something was wrong with her babies, and despite her devoted care, they did not survive. Even after such a heartbreaking loss, Shakula showed her incredible spirit by stepping up to foster and lovingly raise two orphan kittens, Gloria and Rosanna, giving them the start in life they so desperately needed.

Through it all, Shakula has remained sweet, gentle, and friendly. She enjoys people, gets along well with other cats, and would make a wonderful companion in a loving home.

Shakula is ready for a fresh start — one filled with comfort, affection, and a family of her own. If you’re looking for a kind-hearted cat with a beautiful soul, Shakula may be the one for you. 🐾🖤If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application.
