My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Suzuki the Snuggler!

It's hard to resist Suzuki's gorgeous green eyes, and when she starts purring, hearts melt. She loves to be around people, whether it's by your side on the couch, sitting on your desk while you work, or snuggling under the covers at night.

Suzuki gets herself into all kinds of adorable positions, laying on her back with her legs sprawled out, and she also loves to be in your arms during nap time.

Although she does well on her own during the day, her greatest preference is to be with her humans. She spends her time moving from sunny spot to stolen chair to the window where she can watch birds and squirrels. Although not super playful, she can't resist a game of string when you suggest it.

She's a fairly tolerant cat, but she does have her limits (don't we all?). She will get a little spicy if she's comfortable and doesn't want to be moved. And as a professional seat-stealer, she frequently has to be moved! Creating another comfortable place for her to move to on her own is the best way to avoid any hard feelings.

Overall, she is easy to pick up, loves to sit on top of shoulders, and recently decided she likes to perch on people's backs too. Occasionally, she also gets a little overstimulated with pats and will give a little nip or just leap away. This is why it's recommended she live with adults or cat-savvy older kids who can read her signs.

Suzuki has a sensitive GI system, which is managed with a twice-daily steroid. She takes the liquid easily by mouth or mixed in a Churu, but other options such as pills and transdermal ear gels are available.

She is also prescribed a monthly B12 injection, which can be taught to her caregivers to perform at home, or done by a vet tech. A special diet keeps her gut healthy (though she's still acquiring a taste for the wet food).

Since she is so small and could use extra weight, it would be ideal if she could find a home where dry food could be left out during the day, either in a separate area or shared with other cats on the same diet. She currently is kept in a room overnight with her dry food, so that her foster brothers don't eat it.

Suzuki tolerates other cats, depending on their dispositions. She is defensive but not aggressive. She currently lives with two foster brothers who aren't the most welcoming, but they are all three able to comingle for the most part. She has not been dog tested.

Suzuki is affectionate, quiet, and curious. She has a lot of love to give in a small package!
