Buddy is a 6-year-old, 57-lb neutered male Lab mix with a big heart and a gentle, affectionate personality. He was saved from the euthanasia list in San Antonio, TEXAS and is currently being fostered there, but he is available for out-of-state transport arranged by the rescue once matched with an approved adopter.
Endearingly called “Air Bud” by his foster, Buddy loves people and forms bonds easily. He’s playful, social, and enjoys toys, pets, and any moment spent with his humans. He’s dog-friendly, but he doesn’t require another dog in the home—as long as he’s given love, attention, and companionship, he thrives.
He’s potty trained, crate trained, and knows “sit.” He does great in the car, making him an easy travel buddy. Buddy enjoys walks and hikes, and because he gets excited to explore, he’s currently working on his leash manners. He may pull slightly, but he settles into a comfortable rhythm and loves being outside.
His playful side comes out when he’s engaging with toys or adventuring, but indoors he settles well and loves relaxing near his people.
We don’t have history with cats or young children, so we recommend a home with kids 13+ who understand dog body language and how to interact respectfully.
