My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kingsman, a big, handsome goofball with a soft heart and a busy brain. He can be a little shy at first, especially when coming out of his kennel or with new handling, but a few tasty treats go a long way. Once he warms up, he shows his true colors as a friendly, affectionate love bug who enjoys attention, leans in for pets, and may even try to climb into your lap despite his impressive size.

Kingsman is very food motivated and already knows how to sit, which makes training both important and rewarding. He walks on leash with enthusiasm and strength and will need someone comfortable handling a large, eager dog who tends to keep tension on the leash. He’s curious about the world, loves to sniff everything in sight, and would thrive with outlets like scent work and training games to keep his mind busy.

Around people, Kingsman is friendly and appropriate, though he can jump up when excited and has a habit of counter surfing, consistent management and redirection will be needed. With other dogs, Kingsman is selective. He shows reactivity that appears rooted in over-arousal and frustration rather than aggression, and he does best with calm, controlled introductions. He may be able to live with the right dog who is confident, tolerant, and not overly animated; continued training and managed socialization will be key. Apartments aren’t a great fit for him due to this reactivity.

Kingsman is looking for an experienced, patient adopter, ideally with shepherd or working breed experience, who has the time and commitment to guide him. He would do best in a home with space, structure, and people who appreciate a strong, sensitive dog who just needs help channeling his enthusiasm. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will keep you active, make you laugh, and happily work for freeze-dried beef liver, Kingsman might just be your guy.
