Mick (formerly McGee) came from a rural shelter in north Georgia, where he'd been found as a stray. Thanks to the efforts of some diligent volunteers who saw what a sweet and loving dog he is, Mick was saved from euthanasia at the eleventh hour and transferred to a loving foster home with Doggie Harmony where he has been thriving!
Mick loves everyone he meets and has the sweetest disposition imaginable! He is very submissive around other dogs and enjoys playing with his foster brothers, but his main concern is being within licking distance of his people. He loves to give kisses! Mick is a bit of a velcro dog, but has not shown any signs of separation anxiety, and despite being underweight, he has also shown no signs of resource guarding with regards to food, treats, toys or people. He is just a very sweet, good boy! He is housebroken and crate trained, and has shown no inclination towards mischief when left unattended. He listens well and is eager to please, and is learning basic commands. There is also a resident cat in his foster home, and while Mick is curious about her, he has so far been very respectful towards the cat.
Mick does have some quirks from his past life as a stray, though: he is very nervous on a leash, and has trouble walking on hardwood floors. Adorably, though, he has learned that he can traverse the hardwood floors more easily by walking backwards! Mick is also working on leash-training, but since he has not yet mastered that, he would do best in a home with a fenced yard so he can get plenty of potty breaks and exercise while he works on overcoming this fear.
Mick is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, and is ready for his forever home! Adoption fee: $300
