Hi! I’m Shaggy — a gentle soul learning that the world can be kind

Hi friends… my name is Shaggy, and I’m still finding my brave voice, but I wanted to tell you a little about me.

I came to Lucky Paws Rescue after being dumped — quite literally tossed out a window — and if I seem a little shy and nervous, well… I think that makes sense. Thankfully, I landed exactly where I was meant to: in the arms of a kind family who knew to reach out to LPR and make sure I was safe.

I’m a quiet, sensitive little guy who’s still learning that humans can be gentle and that the world doesn’t have to be scary. I may take a little time to warm up, but once I do, my sweetness really shines through. I’m not loud or pushy — I’m the kind of pup who watches closely, learns slowly, and blossoms with patience and love.

What I need most now is a calm, understanding home — one that will let me move at my own pace, celebrate every small win, and show me through consistency that I’m safe. With the right person, I know I’ll grow into a loyal, loving companion who trusts deeply and loves fully.

I didn’t have the best start, but I’m holding onto hope. All I need is someone willing to meet me where I am and help me discover just how good life can be.
