My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT. YOU MUST LIVE IN BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES**

Meet Adriano Chihuahua Poodle. A Little Marshmallow With A Big Heart

Welcome, sweet Adriano, our lovable “little 10-pound chunk” with the shortest legs and the warmest hugs. This curly-haired ChiPoo (Chihuahua Poodle mix) is pure joy wrapped in a compact package. When you pick him up, he does his very best to snuggle those tiny legs around your neck, delivering grateful kisses as if to say thank you for choosing me.

Adriano has a beautifully balanced temperament, calm and content, yet playfully spirited. He has a touch of spice when it comes to his toys, proudly shaking them with delight. His curiosity shines during outings. He takes his time savoring every scent in the yard and prances happily on walks, soaking in the world with quiet confidence.

He’s also the perfect little sidekick, quietly showing his excitement with tail waggs and facial expressions. Adriano rides patiently in the car, relaxed and happy just being included in your day. Although he experienced some neglect before rescue, he has received the care he needed, including a dental cleaning, plus his bloodwork and tests are all clear. His resilience is gentle, not loud, and it shows in the trust he now gives so freely.

Adriano's foster parents say he has the divine balance of the most decadent sweet treat and a fun-loving, lively character. He has zoomies running in the yard, tossing toys, then snuggle time, with perfect house manners.  Adriano would thrive in a loving home where companionship is valued and everyday moments are shared. If you’re home often and have room in your heart for a soft, twelve-year-old, affectionate soul with a playful spark, this marshmallow delight may be waiting just for you. Adriano is ready to belong to you and love you completely.

This dog's adoption fee is $350 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested, please fill out the adoption application. For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our FAQ's Page

*All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They don't live in cages or crates (unless there is a medical reason to do so.) They are treated as family pets while in our care. * All dogs in our care are fed premium brand holistic food as well as supplements and vitamins specific to each dog's needs. We don't buy inexpensive bulk dry kibble; our rescues are fed premium wet food diets as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program to ensure maximum health. .*All of our rescues receive complete quality vetting, including full dental cleaning with pre-op bloodwork, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs in need of specialized medicine will be seen by specialists, such as full cardiac workups, and ophthalmologist visits, all suspicious lumps and bumps are biopsied, and every medical need is transparent to potential adopters. *Once you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family, and we are here for you if a problem with your precious dog arises.

More about this rescue

Based out of Broward County and serving the Tri-County area, Get-A-Life Pet Rescue volunteers retrieve pets who have been abandoned and provide them with a chance at the life they deserve. Our animals come from a variety of sources, including Animal Services, owner surrenders and as strays.

Get-A- Life Pet Rescue volunteers, including our Board Members, play an active role in finding the animals a safe and happy home. All our pets are given a full veterinary exam. They are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, put on heartworm/flea & tick prevention medication as well as dental & grooming services as needed. Donations are very critical as they assist us in giving each pet full medical treatment, physical and behavioral rehabilitation and the necessities that allow them to thrive in their "forever home". Because Get-A-Life Pet Rescue doesn’t have a facility to house the pets as they are rescued, each pet is matched with an appropriate foster home in the Tri-County area. With individual fostering, we are able to provide interested applicants with details on the pet's personality and provide a needs list to allow the pet a tranquil transition.

Our volunteers promote responsible adoptions and lifelong relationships with the adopter’s new pet. We educate all adopters and provide them with all tools necessary to have a balanced and happy lifelong pet. Our ultimate goal at Get-A-Life Pet Rescue is to increase humane awareness through education, resulting in the humane treatment of animals, and reduction of the over population and abuse problems of today.
