Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🧨 ✨ Meet This Little Firecracker Astra✨ 🧨
Bouncy. Playful. Learning the ropes — and stealing hearts along the way.
Astra is a joyful, typical puppy full of bounce, curiosity, and happy energy. She loves to play with the other dogs and is learning how to read their cues (enthusiastically — puppy life! 😄).
She’s doing wonderfully with crate and potty training and will even wait by the back door when she needs to go out. Accidents are minimal!
At night, Astra sleeps in her crate and only lets out a little whine when she truly needs a potty break.
Once Astra’s puppy zoomies finally settle she turns into a total snuggle bug — especially if she has a chew toy nearby and a lap to lay on!
Astra is not just cute — she’s growing, learning, and becoming a wonderful companion right before our eyes.
She’ll thrive in a home ready for puppy energy, consistency, and lots of love.
If you’re looking for a playful pup with a cuddly heart, Astra is the perfect match 💖

More about this rescue
Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like-minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.
PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites. Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
