My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gigi. This sweet girl was surrendered for adoption by her owner due to a lack of time. As a Mini Australian Shepherd, Gigi is a herding breed who thrives with both physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy and engaged.

Gigi will need space to run and a family who enjoys staying active—but she also has a soft, affectionate side. Once she comes out of her shell, she loves to be close and soak up all the cuddles.

If you have the time, space, and love to share, Gigi is ready to fill your home and heart.

Why not complete an application and schedule an appointment to meet this lovable girl today?

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
