My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I'm Chief and I'm a big happy guy! Sometimes I don't know my own strength so I need some work learning not to pull on the leash. I do know the command sit and will graciously take treats whenever offered (how do you think I got this big and strong?). I love people but I can be a little picky about my animal friends so staff suggest that I go to an only pet home or have a meet and greet with any existing pets in the home. Ask a staff member how to proceed if you think you have the perfect home for me!

Additional adoption info

Animals have to be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter. This is covered completely by the adoption fee if the adopter uses one of our local approved vets. If the adopter wants to have the spay/neuter done by a different vet, AWOL will pay a portion of the cost. All animals leaving prior to being spayed/neutered require a deposit that will be returned to the adopter after proof of spay/neuter.

More about this shelter
