My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rudi is a super sweet, gentle, kind soul with absolutely no signs of aggression. He is fully potty-trained, well-mannered, and truly goes with the flowwhether that means lounging on the couch, heading out for a walk, or enjoying a car ride. Rudi gets along beautifully with everyone he meets, both humans and other animals. Hes a loving lap dog with a calm, easygoing personality and doesnt have a bad bone in his body. Rudi can sit and shake, and while he hasnt played much with toys yet (hes only been with us a few days), he clearly enjoys being close to his people. Hes not sassy at allmore of a mellow couch-potato type who likes to chill with at least one human nearby. Rudi is very observant and thoughtful. He especially loved the beach, where he happily sat watching people and dogs go by, soaking in the ocean breeze. He has a beautiful, soft, luxurious light-tan coat. He was likely born without one ear flap, but both ears are intact and he hears very well. Rudi is healthy and could benefit from a little exercise to shed a couple of pounds. We believe he would do well in almost any loving homewhether with an older person, a couple, or a family with kids. If Rude sounds like the perfect companion for you, please submit an adoption application through Bichon Rescue of Orange County. Go meet their pets

Our rescues are housed in foster homes and may be seen by appointment by adopters who have completed our application process.
We hope to partner with our local pet stores for public viewing and we participate regularly in Adoption events like the Home for the Holidays events held annually in June and December at the Irvine Animal Care Center and the Pet Expo which occurs annually in April.

More about this rescue

Bichon Rescue of Orange County (BROC) was organized to address the ever increasing number of senior bichons and other small breeds that are being surrendered by their owners and dropped off at local shelters in Orange County. Through the Seniors for Seniors Program we are committed to cultivating our senior citizens both as volunteer fosters and as adopters. The Seniors for Seniors Program will encourage qualified Senior adopters to adopt senior pups.
We have over fifteen years of combined history in rescue and a team of dedicated volunteers, committed to our Mission.
