Annie is a sweet, affectionate 1-year-old pirate princess looking for the purrfect furever home to fill with love and laughter.
With her mismatched socks and sparkling green eye, Annie is uniquely beautiful, brave and resilient. This gorgeous little social butterfly came into foster care with a damaged eye and five young babies. She has been an attentive, caring mamma, but Annie is now ready for her next chapter, in which she gets to be pampered and loved as the sole star attraction.
Annie is a medium energy cat who enjoys the attention of her humans but can also be independent. She enjoys playing but is especially fond of cozy lounging spots for relaxing naps. She likes elevated spaces for resting and serenely surveying the big, wide world outside.
Annie's ideal home will be moderately active, with the opportunity for lots of human companionship. She loves people but is not fond of other cats and would be happiest as the only pet. She would do well with cat-savvy children and is unknown with dogs.
Annie is a wonderful companion and true treasure ready to fill her furrever home with lots of joy.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow-up visits.

Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
