My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Reba! Reba is a 3-year-old Corgi mix (30 lbs) with short legs, teddy bear–soft ears, and the sweetest soul. She is a very mellow, low energy gal who is happiest lounging with her people—but don’t be fooled, she loves backyard zoomies!

Reba is house trained, crate trained, and has great leash manners. She enjoys daily walks and would do well in an apartment or a home with a yard. She is good with dogs (prefers calm friends), good with cats, and would likely be good with respectful, older kids. She bonds quickly to her humans and is incredibly gentle, trusting, and brave—even when she is unsure. Reba would love a family who enjoys spending time together and including her in daily life. If you are looking for a sweet, loyal, low-key best friend with a silly side, then Reba may just be your girl!

Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. [Her] adoption fee is $200. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
