Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Molly #14 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) .
Molly #14 | 4.5-year-old Black Lab Mix | Sweet and snuggly companion
Molly is a gentle, loving black Lab mix with a heart full of affection and a playful streak. At 50 pounds, she enjoys daily walks, playtime in the yard, and plenty of cuddles. She is currently house-trained, reliably using her signal by standing at the door when she needs to go out, though house training can regress in a new environment. She thrives in her kennel, happily resting there with her favorite frozen stuffed treats.
A sensitive and sweet soul, Molly responds best to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement. She is easy to train, already knowing commands like sit, down, come, and no, and she’s picking up off-leash recall quickly. While she may bark to announce people or dogs during walks, it’s never reactive, and she warms up quickly to calm voices and affection.
Molly gets along wonderfully with other dogs—though she prefers a slow introduction—and has shown positive interactions with cats. She has lived with children under 10 and does well with them, enjoying the energy and companionship they bring.
She is playful yet calm, loves fetch, chewing bones, and her favorite stuffies, and she enjoys rolling in the snow or snuggling up close to her humans. Molly’s ideal home has a fenced yard, patient and kind people, and maybe a few canine friends to play with. She simply wants to be part of your world, offering love and companionship in return.
Molly was previously adopted but surrendered due to circumstances in her former home. She has blossomed in her foster home, showing what a happy, healthy, and affectionate dog she truly is. She’s ready to find her forever family who will love her as much as she loves them.
If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.
Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.
PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/
Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
