Shade is a beautiful little lady who arrived in this world on 10/14/25 as a total furry bundle of love. Confident, calm, and super chill, she’s the puppy who’s always the first to fall asleep and the last to wake up—clearly a fan of the cozy life.
Don’t let her relaxed vibe fool you though—Shade is a smart cookie! She already knows how to sit (look at the pic of her sitting with her littermates) and is working hard on her house training. When she’s in her exercise pen and needs to go potty, she’ll let you know with a whine, showing just how tuned in she already is to communicating with her people!
Shade would absolutely love a brother or sister to play with and grow up alongside. Whether she’s snoozing, learning new tricks, or soaking up affection, Shade is ready to bring warmth, sweetness, and puppy love into her forever home.

We strive to make the best matches between our animals and adoptive families. On dogs over a year of age we offer a 7 day trial / foster to adopt option in order for families and dogs to experience daily life and further determine if the dog/family is a good match. However, we will take back any previously adopted animals or assist families in finding homes in unforeseen circumstances that occur that the family is unable to keep the dog adopted from our rescue. We also offer continued contact and support to families of our animals when needed such as training suggestions, recommendations for vets/trainers as well as simply sharing life updates as we truly value and deeply love every animal that comes through our lives and rescue.

Rachel's Rescue was founded June 1, 2023, one year after her life was suddenly and tragically taken with a single gunshot. Rachel was a vibrant young lady who had a deep, passionate love for animals especially dogs and puppies. To honor our daughter's memory and desire to save lives, we started the rescue by taking in and caring for abandoned, abused and/or neglected pups and giving them a new chance at life. We provide each pup with affection and attention, a healthy diet, medical care as needed, vaccines and microchips. All pups are altered before they are adopted into their forever homes. We continue to make sure Rachel's legacy shines bright through every happy, healthy puppy/dog that finds a forever home.
