Yvonne is a smart and playful girl who adores her toys and forms strong bonds with her people. She’s comfortable in her crate and is mostly house-trained, making her a great companion for a patient, understanding home.
Yvonne prefers to move at her own pace and appreciates having her boundaries respected. She can be shy with new people at first, but with consistency and kindness, she truly blossoms. Once she builds trust, she enjoys settling in close, spending quiet time together, and soaking up gentle affection on her own terms.
This active gal loves to run, play, and romp around with other dogs, and toys are definitely one of her favorite things. She’s most vocal when someone comes to the door or when other dogs are barking, and she’s unsure about cats and will bark if she sees them.
Yvonne is looking for a calm, safe, and loving home where she can continue building confidence and trust. Once situated in her new home, she’ll be a loyal, rewarding companion.
Yvonne is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 1/10 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8am-Noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.

Meet the Pet
Your chosen animal’s foster home will reach out to you to discuss the pet you are interested in. If applicable, schedule a meet and greet!
Sign Adoption Contract
An Applications team member will send the electronic adoption contract to you to be signed. They will also request adoption fee payment.
Take the Pet Home
Once adoption agreement and payment are complete, you take your new pet home!
