My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sitka!

Sitka was an incredible Mama to 13 happy, healthy puppies, and now it is finally her turn to find a forever home of her own.

Sitka can be a little unsure at first, but once she builds trust, she becomes wonderfully affectionate and deeply loyal. She bonds closely with her person and would happily lean in for ear rubs, pets, and cuddles all day long. She's also a smart girl who already knows sit, shake, lay down, get your toy, and fetch, and she's currently working on stay, look, and remembering not to jump up for her enthusiastic "hug attacks."

Sitka would do best as the only animal in the home and in a household without young children where she can soak up all of the attention. She has shown reactivity with barriers, and would do best in a detached home or townhouse rather than an apartment.

Sitka loves to play. She enjoys fetch and is the queen of tug-of-war. She especially loves large plush and squeaky toys and even enjoys carrying her toys along on walks.

This sweet girl is high energy and would thrive in a home with outdoor access, regular long walks, and plenty of one-on-one bonding time with her human. She enjoys hikes and long beach walks, she's very curious of the ocean but has no interest in swimming!

While Sitka is a loving companion, she can be anxious and will need patient adopters who are willing to provide reassurance, structure, and support. In return, she'll offer endless devotion and affection. Lots of things are still new for this girl, and she does get startled with loud noises, so a calm environment where she can build some confidence would be ideal.

Sitka is a sweet, loyal soul just waiting for someone to give her the safe, loving home she truly deserves.

Stop by the West Vancouver location to meet our beautiful Sitka! Our adoption hours are 12pm-3pm Tuesdays - Sundays (closed Mondays). While we welcome online applications, we prioritize in person meets/applications.
