Nicholas is a charming little black kitten who loves to play. He was found in a woodpile, with no mama nearby, just 3 brothers. He was taken in by one of our kitten fosters, and has become an affectionate, sweet kitty, who will cuddle with you when he's not too busy having adventures. Nicholas is all black, and his coat is shiny and silky. Come meet him and see if he is the perfect fit for your home.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We are comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who work to find loving homes for homeless pets in our area.

Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
