My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cream

Name: Cream

Age: 3 months

Sex: Female

Spayed: No (too young)

Breed: Jindo mix

Color: Ivory

Weight: 5.7 kg

Height: 38 cm (shoulder)

Rescue Story

Cream was born to a Husky-mix mom who was living as a yard dog in Korea.

She has now been safely moved into foster care and is receiving her vaccinations while getting ready for adoption

Personality with People

Cream is incredibly affectionate and social.

She happily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people, rubs against them, and enjoys being touched. She is wonderful with children under 13 and loves being held — she’ll even show her belly when she feels comfortable (sometimes even to people she just met!).

She is a true little cuddle bug who loves being close to her humans.

With Other Dogs

She hasn’t had many dog interactions yet because she is still completing her vaccinations, but when she sees dogs passing by, she shows curiosity and interest without barking or fear.

With Cats

Not tested yet, but can be tested upon request.

Energy Level

Cream is still a puppy, so she has lots of playful energy indoors.

With daily walks and active playtime, she settles nicely and rests well.

She will need at least two walks a day, plus mental stimulation like training or nose-work.

She is very smart and already knows:

Sit, Paw, Down, Crawl, Nose, Touch, and High-five!

Leash & Walking

She tends to pull a little on leash but generally follows her person well.

She loves sniffing and exploring, so her walks are full of little stop-and-go moments as she takes in the world.

At Home

• No food guarding with people or dogs

• Rarely barks, but may do some demand barking when she wants something

• Whines a bit in the crate but settles down after a while

• Jumps into and out of the car on her own

• Very intelligent and learns quickly

Because she is a high-energy puppy, she needs enough exercise and stimulation — otherwise she may get into mischief like chewing furniture, tearing pee pads, or playful nipping.

She loves tug and ball play and can play independently, but when playing with people she gets extra excited and may jump higher than usual (like onto a bed she normally wouldn’t climb).

She is still learning outdoor potty training and currently uses indoor pee pads.

What Makes Cream Special

Cream is extremely affectionate, loves being with her people, and enjoys spending time together — but she does not have separation anxiety. She is the perfect mix of cuddly and playful, sweet and smart.

She’s ready to grow up with a loving family who will continue her training, give her proper exercise, and enjoy all the love she has to give

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.

Our dog rescue work depends on our flight volunteers. They help us safely bring our dogs from Korea to Vancouver or Toronto airports, where the dogs will find loving forever or foster homes.
