If you are looking for a sophisticated companion with a touch of whimsy, Henrietta is ready to grace your home! This sweet "little princess" has blossomed from a cautious rescue into a playful, social, and affectionate houseguest.
A Culinary Critic: Henrietta is a total foodie! She loves a varied menu and has been known to sample boiled chicken, scrambled eggs, and even a bit of tuna or sardines. True to her social nature, she prefers "dinner company" and loves eating alongside her favorite humans.
The "Mitten" Rule: Henrietta is a model of cleanliness. She uses her litter box faithfully but has one royal request: it must stay tidy! She is quite particular about keeping her pristine white paws clean.
Feline Friendships: She absolutely adores her resident cat friend! They spend their days playing chase through the halls. Playing with toys is always considered an afternoon of fun, here is a video of her in action. Henrietta thrives with a confident feline companion to show her the ropes.
Personality: While she values attention on her terms, she is receptive to pets and can even be handled briefly. She loves window-watching, wand toys, and cozy naps in her "quiet hut."
The Snuggle Factor: She enjoys head pets and positive reinforcement. She’s an independent soul who can occupy herself at night, though she might give you a few vocal "goodnights" before settling in, just listen to her go in this video.
My Ideal Home: A calm environment where she can continue to gain confidence. She is peaceful with respectful dogs and would do best with an owner who is often present or has another friendly cat.
Henrietta is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page.
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
