My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rascal - this gorgeous kitty with stunning markings is a little shy with strangers. But it is well worth the time it takes to get to know her. Once she feels comfortable with someone, she enjoys gentle petting and getting attention. She especially enjoys quiet moments and will happily curl up beside someone she gets to know.

Come, spend a little time getting to know Rascal and see for yourself what a loving companion she can be.

Why not complete an application today to make an appointment to meet Rascal? She would certainly make a wonderful, loving companion if only given the chance!

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
