My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Age: 3 1/2 years.

Meet Kol, a sweet and resilient boy whose story is one of love, loss, and hope for a happy new beginning.

Kol’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was first rescued from a home with too many animals, then found himself in a deeply loving, doting home where he truly blossomed. Sadly, when his owner became terminally ill, Kol was returned through no fault of his own. Despite the changes he’s faced, Kol has held onto what matters most—his love for people.

Kol is very lovey, very friendly, and wonderfully outgoing once he feels safe. He shows affection through enthusiastic head-butts, gentle closeness, and a constant desire to be near his people. He thrives on connection and genuinely enjoys human companionship.

Because of his past transitions, Kol does need a little time to adjust to new surroundings, but with patience and consistency, his affectionate personality shines through. Once he settles in, he becomes a loyal, loving presence who wants nothing more than to share his heart—and his head-butts—with someone special.

Kol is ready for his next chapter, hoping for a forever home where he can finally stay and be cherished for the wonderful cat he is. Apply at ffrescue.Org

Additional adoption info

The time it takes to process an application largely depends on the speed at which we are able to contact personal references. If approved, we go over an adoption contract that the adopter will sign, and it is at this time that an adoption fee is required. If an adoption does not work out for any reason, our adoption contract requires that the kitty be returned to Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc.

More about this rescue

We are a foster-based no-kill cat rescue that is working to better the lives of cats in Gloucester and Camden Counties. We do not euthanize any of the animals in our care simply to make room for new ones. Although our operation is small, each and every homeless pet in our program receives the absolute best care possible until a furrever home can be found.
We are small... but mighty. Every animal saved is a victory.
Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc. (FFRV) is an all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that strives to save the lives of homeless animals.

Furrever Friends operates entirely on donations from caring individuals such as yourself. And, because Furrever Friends is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your cash donations are tax-deductible. Checks can be made out to "Furrever Friends."

Our volunteers work hard to:
-Provide safe, loving care in foster homes until a furrever family can be found.
-Spay/neuter and vaccinate pets prior to adoption to help control the pet overpopulation problem.
-Find new Furrever Homes for animals only after carefully screening potential adopters.
-Raise funds through special events and projects to cover veterinary and food costs.
-Fund emergency medical care to injured or abused animals in the FFRV program through "Geronimo's Fund".
-Showcase homeless animals at various venues to help find them homes, including our PetSmart Adoption Center in Deptford, NJ.
