Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Nessa and I have been hoping for a forever home, but I am very shy and sometimes scared.
I do love to have people around me. It may take me time to feel at home when I get my forever home, but I am confident I will get a bit braver every day! I really enjoy it when you talk to me in a friendly voice and let me know that I am welcome in my new home!
When it is playtime, my favorite toys are balls, catnip mice, and anything small. I would love to have a forever home where I could relax, hear your voice telling me I am a good girl, and play with my toys! A window to see outside would be great, too! I hope I would bring happiness to your home!
Nessa
PS: I have been in a foster home and they say I did really well! The foster's remarks, "Nessa is a shy kitty with beautiful eyes and very soft fur! She likes exploring and getting under beds, sofas, and other interesting places! It takes time for her to decide if she wants to be close to accept a new friend, but she loves to have her ear and head petted. She loves her cat house with scratcher and cat napping platform. Catnip mice seem to be her favorite!"
Sadly, they had to go on vacation, so I am ready to find a forever home!

More about this shelter
We are a small shelter that rescues pets from local impounds whose time is up, and would otherwise be euthanized. We only have 9 dog kennels and 26 cat kennels; as many of 80% of the animals in our care are located in foster homes throughout the community at any time. We are very limited on space within our shelter and often, we can't take in owner surrenders, but will do our best to help give guidance about rehoming pets.
We offer several services besides adoption, including microchip clinics and pet-friendly rental housing listings.
We are the only shelter in the FM area that rescues both cats and dogs, so without our help, hundreds of dogs and cats would be euthanized each year in local pounds.
