Clara is a 1-year-old, 31-pound Beagle/Terrier mix with a gentle heart and a resilient spirit. She was found as a stray in below-zero temperatures, and despite such a rough start, she has proven just how sweet and trusting she can be once she feels safe.
Clara may be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly, trading cautious glances for wagging tails and curious sniffs. When she’s comfortable, her playful side shines. She loves a good chewbone, enjoys a spirited game of tug, and is happiest when she’s included in everyday life.
At night, Clara settles into her dog bed beside her humans’ bed, close enough to feel secure. She is fully housetrained and has never been kenneled in her foster home. Clara does well with other playful dogs and would enjoy a canine friend to romp with.
Because she enjoys outdoor time, a physically fenced yard is required so she can play and explore safely.
Clara’s journey from being found as a stray in subzero temperatures to a warm home has shaped her into a dog who truly appreciates comfort, kindness, and companionship. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate pup who blossoms with patience and love, Clara may be the one for you.
Clara is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
If you’d like to meet Clara, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org.
