Take the Pet Home
This helps Loved At Last Dog Rescue with pet care costs.
Hi, my name is PRINCESS! Thank you for taking a moment to get to know me, as I certainly want to get to know you!
Here is a little info about me:
About me - Don't let my regal name deter you. As a spaniel, I wouldn't shy away from some muddy times while accompanying you on hikes, swims, and romps at the dog park! My bags are officially unpacked in Vancouver, and I'm settling in like a true Canadian, earning high marks! I’ve officially mastered 'Sit' and am crushing the cruel 'Leave It' command. My foster mom says I'm a champion at respecting boundaries (and yes, I know exactly which part of the couch I’m allowed to steal). Paws up! My luxurious coat is looking amazing and barely sheds anymore! However, just so you know, I'm not hypoallergenic (my fluff will be worth the brush!). My rescuer named me Princess because while I make friends easily (canine and human alike), I prefer to eat my meals alone, please and thank you.
A 'Queen' in Training - Past trauma caused resource guarding (food/toys), but my training is a huge success: I’ve mastered 'Wait,' sit automatically for meals, and I’m quickly building trust that my resources are secure. I socialize well with dogs (we enjoy zoomies!) and people.
Im fully housetrained and respects boundaries beautifully.
My story - I spent my first few months neglected, malnourished, and tied up on a short leash in a sad, old building. Then, a kind neighbor heard me and started bringing me food, earning my trust. She stood up for me, advocated for my release from what felt like "doggy jail," and brought me to the shelter. I was safe there and thriving for about nine months (since October 2023)!
My ideal home - The best kind of home for me would be one that offers some adventure time. Cuddles and relaxed time at home would also be fabulous! I'm pretty adaptable, so should fit into most home environments.
I am officially 'Cat Approved' and do fine with cats.
I am 100% good with other dogs, as long as there are no toys or food involved. I just need a loving human to help me continue my training so I can trust that all my treasures will be there forever!

Health notes:
I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.

Take the Pet Home
As adopters of overseas dogs will be taking their dog home from the airport, they have a couple of weeks to decide if the dog is a fit.
