Hello, I’m Dain! I may not have the fluffy coat my brother Tairn shows off, but my striking orange eyes will capture your heart instantly. I’m playful and clever—I’ve even invented my own game of rolling a bouncy ball down the stairs just so I can chase it all the way to the bottom!
I’m not picky about toys; if I can carry it in my mouth, it’s a winner. While being picked up isn’t my favorite (it usually means a trip to the vet), I have my own way of asking for affection. Sometimes I’ll flop right in front of you and refuse to budge until you pay the toll—lots of pets! And when you’re sitting down, I’ll happily hop beside you for cheek rubs, which I absolutely adore.
If you’re searching for a gentle, curious companion who brings both quiet comfort and joyful play, I’m the perfect match. With me by your side, every day will be filled with warmth, fun, and love.

All adoptions begin with an adoption application, available here or on our website (or from one of our wonderful volunteers in person). The application is reviewed by the adoptable animal's foster home as well as by the appropriate coordinator (canine/feline) to assess how the animal will fit in your home. We endeavour to respond to all applications within 72 hours, but being 100% run by volunteers sometimes we need additional time--if you haven't heard back after 72 hours, feel free to contact us to check in on your application.
Canine Adoption Fees:
$450 for puppies under 1 year of age
$375 for dogs over 1 year & under 7 years
$300 for dogs 7 years and older
Feline Adoption Fees:
$250 for kittens and cats up to 12 months old
$200 for cats between 1-6 years old
$150 for cats 6 years old and older
Adoption fees help offset the cost to our organization of providing full medical care (including spay or neuter surgery) to each animal we adopt to a furever home.
