My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our rescue is based out of Pikesville, Maryland!  We typically do not adopt more than 45 minutes away from Pikesville, so please bear that in mind! Also, if you are viewing this cat on Petfinder, note that ALL of our animals are spayed/neutered despite what it says.

Irina and her siblings, Iona and Ivan, were rescued from a feral colony when they were about 7 or 8 weeks old. They were all very sick with bad eye infections, and with lots of care, they have improved by leaps and bounds!

Irina is a ticked tan tabby with white and she has some orange in her, making her borderline calico. She has a very interesting coat!

Irina was the worst of the group eye-wise, and seeing her beautiful little eyes is such a miracle! While Irina will purr upon being pet, she doesn't enjoy being picked up, and can still be somewhat apprehensive about being handled by humans.

Please consider adopting Irina with one of her siblings or her friend, Freddy Friend. Single-kitten adoptions are possible when there are other playful and cat-friendly cats in the home. Learn more about the reason why we don't adopt kittens out alone.

Foster-to-adopt one or more kittens while they await their spay/neuter surgeries and an official adoption can be executed. We recommend they be kept in a bathroom or spare room away from other cats for the time being. This litters' appointments are scheduled for February.

This litter has an estimated date of birth of October 14th, 2025.

Needs Must Cats will have received full vetting including spay or neuter, FIV/FLV testing, microchip, and treatment for parasites by time of adoption. The adoption fee in the amount below helps us assist more cats and kittens in urgent need. These fees do not even begin to cover our expenses so please consider making an additional donate to support our life-saving efforts!

  • Special Needs or Barn Cat - Donation
  • Adult Cat / Kitten over 6 months - $90
  • Kitten under 6 months - $150
  • Pair of Kittens - $275
