Mackenzie AKA "MAC" is a kitten who loves
observing and assessing situations before leaping into action. She is curious and watches you with keen interest and vigilant bright eyes. She’s a little warrior princess, sometimes initiating wrestling matches with her larger brothers/littermates. Mackenzie enjoys ball and mouse toys. She bats them around like a FIFA Soccer champion. Between her and a felt mouse, bet on Mac every time! This cutie has beautiful silver tabby eyes and an amazing appetite. She will never be finicky. She especially loves kitty “churros”. Try to pull the tasty treat too soon and she will assertively, yet claw free, paw it right back.

KR volunteers rescued Mackenzie from their backyard, and she’s become even more confident around her foster parents and the resident cats and dog. Mac is developing into a sweet lap companion, enjoying scratches and pets. Her cheerful purrs and gentle nudges show just how much she adores companionship. When you earn her trust and confidence, Mackenzie’s friendly personality and loving heart will reward you with cuddles and love.

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.

To help ensure that we place our cats in loving, responsible, committed homes, we have a screening process before you can adopt a pet from Kitten Rescue. We reserve the right to turn down potential adopters as we deem necessary. First, we ask that you complete our Adoption Questionnaire at kittenrescue.org/cat-adoption-form/. You can complete the form online or you may stop by a weekly adoption event to complete form in person. Second, a home visit or a home delivery of the cat or kitten is also required as part of our adoption process.

The Kitten Rescue adoption fee is $150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, and $100 for each additional kitten or cat to the same household ($250 if you adopt a pair). Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.

All of our cats have already been:
Spayed or neutered
Vaccinated – with at least one FVRCP vaccination
Treated for fleas
Dewormed
Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
Microchipped

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
