Meeko's Story

Meet Meeko! 🐾
Meeko is a handsome 4-year-old domestic long hair with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. He was surrendered by his previous owner through no fault of his own and is now hoping for a fresh start with a loving family.

This super friendly guy enjoys attention and is always happy to greet visitors. Meeko has an easygoing personality that makes him a wonderful companion—whether that’s relaxing nearby or soaking up some well-deserved affection.

Meeko is ready for adoption now and can’t wait to meet his furrever family. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving cat to welcome into your home, Meeko might just be your perfect match. 💙Please apply for Meeko at https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50

More about this shelter

The Gloucester County Animal Shelter functions as an impoundment/adoption facility which temporarily houses lost, stray, unwanted or abandoned pets for the 24 municipalities in Gloucester County, until such time as they are reclaimed by their owner or adopted by a new family. The Shelter also provides a 24-hour emergency service for calls regarding animals that are sick, injured or posing an immediate threat to the public.

We have a very dedicated staff and volunteer core who work very hard to see that these homeless pets are given a second chance and placed in a proper homes. All animals are spayed/neutered at the time of their adoption and up to date on their age appropriate vaccinations, Heartworm tested (for dogs) or feline combination tested (for cats) and microchipped.
