Balthazar is a sweet pup looking for a loving and understanding home. He has a gentle nature and may take a little time to warm up, especially when it comes to handling and restraint. With patience, positive reinforcement, and respect for his boundaries, Balthazar does best when he's allowed to build trust at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, Balthazar has the potential to be a wonderful companion. A calm home that can offer consistency, kindness, and encouragement will help him gain confidence and feel secure.

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
