Char is a 3-year-old black Australian Cattle Dog mix with a heart as big as his smile. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids, making him a perfect addition to almost any family.
Char is housetrained, well-mannered, and eager to please. He’s a quick learner currently mastering commands like sit, lie down, wait, and no. He’s highly food-motivated, which makes training a breeze!
He still loves to run, explore, and would make a fantastic hiking buddy. Walks are his favorite! If you're looking for a loyal, active companion with a gentle soul, Char is your guy.

Interview
A volunteer will contact you by email or phone to discuss your application and whether a specific pet is a good fit for your home.

Home Check
Home visits are done virtually using a video app or FaceTime.

Meet the Pet
Local adopters can arrange in-person meet and greets, while out-of-state adopters can meet virtually via FaceTime.

Sign Adoption Contract
Once approved, your adoption contract and payment link will be sent to you electronically.
6.
Take the Pet Home
For our out of state adopters, transport will be arranged once adopted.

Our adoption process starts with an application for meet and greets and adoption consideration. Applicants complete phone interviews, background checks, provide vet and personal references, and finish with a virtual home visit to ensure a good fit.
