My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Keiki is a cozy queen who wants only 3 things in life. A cozy bed, a human to cuddle with, and someone to talk to.

She enjoys spending her days curled up in the coziest place she can find. Usually on the bed or under the covers if you will let her. She gets up with her humans to have a conversation over morning coffee, then returns to bed to lounge most days. Keiki re-emerges from her cozy spot to greet humans coming home for work or boisterously announce it is dinner time. She usually mingles with the residents of the house until it is time for bed, where she prefers to be the little spoon to her human, tucked snugly under the covers.

At eight years old she is a calm girl, but occasionally enjoys playing with toys, especially catnip mice and would enjoy space to lounge outdoors in the summer. She warms up to her humans and environment very quickly and is great around large respectful dogs. She enjoys her personal space and can be a bit of a sour patch kid around smaller animals, cats and dogs alike, not always interacting politely.

She will need to be the only kitty in her new home. Keiki would love a home where she can be doted on and cuddled and live her best most cozy and peaceful life, in her own queenly terms. She is in Wasilla. Please call 907-350-8089.

KEIKI HAS BEEN SPONSORED BY A CAT LOVER IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND MAY BE ADOPTED TO A LOVING FAMILY FOR $40!

Additional adoption info

We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $135. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Due to the pandemic, most of our adoptions are done virtually. Some of our cats are also available for adoption from their foster homes.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help. And through this dedicated group of people, more than a thousand cats have been saved and found loving homes.
In 2017, we rescued and rehomed approximately 500 cats.
