Leia and her sister came in to our foster care at the young age of only one day old. Yet another pair of newborns in need of human nurturing and bottle feeding. Lucky for the girls, START was able to give them the care they so desperately needed. They thrived and became a very active duo. Born in early October, 2025, Leia is a beautiful tabby. This sweet girl has one thing on her mind, play. She’ll purr up a storm for you once she calms down but don’t interrupt her when she’s chasing a toy or wrestling with her sister. Leia would do great in a household with a feline buddy to help expel her energy as her antics entertain you.
Leia is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. Save The Animals Rescue Team, (S.T.A.R.T.) is a non-profit humane organization, founded by Annette Lamberti, that rescues stray, abandoned, injured, and abused kittens & cats. The animals rescued are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed in one of our volunteer foster homes. Since S.T.A.R.T. does not have a shelter facility, these animals remain in our foster care until they are adopted. So many of these unfortunate animals are victims of pet overpopulation, therefore, this life-saving work is critical!!
It is our mission to prevent cruelty, promote spay/neuter, and to encourage awareness through education, while also teaching respect for all animals and the environment they live in. S.T.A.R.T. is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit organization relying on and supported by tax-deductible donations, grants and group fund raising.
