Meet the Pet
This helps Screven County Spay & Neuter Corp. with pet care costs.
*SCSN does not respond to Petfinder Inquiries. If interested in a meet and greet you must fill out the adoption application!
Intake: 12/12/25
11 months old
24lbs
Adoption fee: $350
Neutered
Vaccinated
Microchipped
HW Negative and on Monthly Prevention
Chase arrived in a shelter after being found as a stray at just 10 months old. He went into a foster home and started exhibiting some less than desirable behaviors such as:
- nipping and herding the children
- crate aggression and reactivity
- destructive behaviors in the home
- biting the foster
Unfortunately once this happens the choices are rescue or euthanasia. We stepped in to help.
Chase IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME but we are putting his story into the universe in the hopes that when he is ready, his perfect adopter finds him.
Since arriving we have made progress with the crate- he now willingly enters it whereas before he had to be physically put into it with a leash. His issue is not as much the crate as it is with the door closing.
We are working with him on his house manners- as of this post (12/16/25) he has literally none.
He is a horrible leash puller and jumper as well.
On a positive note, he LOVES people!! He LOVES children! He loves other dogs, he does great off leash with horses and cats and he is insanely food motivated. This is a dog that wants a job and wants to work 100%. In the right home with the right amount of exercise and structure, this dog will absolutely thrive.
Stay tuned for updates!
