My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Techno is a curious kitten with a bold spirit and an even bolder appetite. Always on the lookout for his next snack, he’s known for hopping onto tables in search of forgotten crumbs, nose twitching with determination. It’s in these moments that his nickname, “Tech-no-no!”, makes a frequent appearance, usually right before an ornament mysteriously ends up on the floor.

Despite his mischievous streak, Techno is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He loves to cuddle and has a special gentleness with little ones, once even falling fast asleep in the arms of a toddler, completely content and trusting. Independent and confident, Techno approaches life with curiosity and courage, ready to take on the world one adventure (or snack hunt) at a time, always returning for a cuddle when the day is done.

Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
