My name is Lucky - In Foster Home!

Meet Lucky – Your Goofy, Happy-Go-Lucky Sidekick! Hi there! I'm Lucky, a 1-year-old Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix with a big smile, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of personality. I came to the shelter on 4/7/25 when my previous home just wasn't the right fit, and now I'm living the good life in a foster home while I wait for my true forever family to find me. I'm the kind of dog who keeps things fun. I'm silly, affectionate, and always ready to make you laugh with my happy energy and curious nature. I do take a moment to warm up to new people, but once I know you, I'm incredibly loyal and love being close to my humans. I'm house trained, crate trained, and enjoy being part of the daily routine. I get along well with other dogs (a meet and greet is always a great idea to be sure we're a perfect match), and I also do well with cats, kids over 7, and even chickens. Yes—chickens. I'm basically a barnyard-approved good boy. Do you work from home and need a loyal office assistant who will supervise your snacks and nap under your desk? Looking for a friendly face to greet you at the door every day? I've got that covered. I'm the kind of companion who wants to be part of your life and share in all the little moments. I'm neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. Since I'm in a foster home, meet and greets are scheduled by approved application only. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
