Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing Shadow! 🐾💗🐾
Shadow is an athletic two-year-old female Beauceron mix with a very sweet disposition. Her demeanor is characterized by loving, gentle, and willing traits. She is notably quiet, rarely barks, and exhibits a moderate level of alertness towards strangers.
Shadow’s Guardian rescued her from a very lonely and neglected life, so this little girl needs support in building her confidence. She has made considerable progress but still exhibits reserved tendencies. She experiences initial hesitation when meeting new people, but warms up quickly when you talk to her. It is unknown how she is around children, but she absolutely loves the young man with Down Syndrome residing in her current household.
Shadow is a very well-behaved house dog. She is also crate-trained. She needs work with leash training. She does okay on leash but needs to build confidence to new environments and situations at her own pace. Although, she rides very well in her Guardian’s truck.
Shadow loves to run around outside, play with the miniature horses, and show friendly interest in chickens, but basically ignores them. She also gets along great with the small older dog in her Guardian’s home.
Shadow’s breed is a Herding dog. She will sometimes nip at the back of your legs or at a dangling hand like she would if she were herding sheep. Her nip is gentle - never hurting.
Shadow needs a gentle caring person who will continue to help this sweet girl blossom and thrive in her new forever home. Will that be you? 🐾💗🐾
Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard.
If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home.
HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/
When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started.
You could be a life saver!
