Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Like the famed 18th century pirate queen, our Anne Bonny has faced undue hardship in her quest to find that which is most treasured: A loving home. Cast adrift by a heartless crew, sweet Anne Bonny was swept up and struck in an endless sea of traffic. As doctors worked to save our heroine’s life, it was discovered that underweight Anne Bonny was carrying additional cargo in the form of four stowaway puppies. Our peg-legged, eye-patched pirate would become a mama two days later. Just Captain-kidding ya: Anne is recovering nicely from her hip injury and happily makes herself at home on comfy couches. She is also adjusting well from the loss of one eye…keeping a watchful look toward the horizon and at those swabs mopping the poop deck.
Obviously, Anne’s inevitable adoption had to be postponed until she’d physically healed and weaned her brood. But now it is time for sweet Anne Bonny to begin her own adventure of emotional healing with a family who values love and loyalty rather than casting a devoted crew member overboard. Anne is a medium-sized dog with a matching energy level. She’s pretty relaxed throughout the day but shows great enthusiasm upon a friend’s arrival home. She is understandably a bit reserved initially but, yo-ho-ho…what a reward when that rear sail starts to dancin’!
Anne Bonny adapted easily to a full crew of canines and humans. She is also a skilled sailor who can easily man her own helm. Unlike her band of unruly seafaring scallywags, Anne Bonny is polite about her personal business and is house-trained. You can leave the mop and bucket below deck when she’s part of your crew.
So…whatta ya say, matey? Are you ready to round out your band of renegades with a retired pirate queen? Just make your mark next to the X on the adoption application and, soon, you will understand the true meaning of the word “treasure”.
