Meet Benji – Your Adventure Buddy with a Big Heart
Benji is a 1-year-old, 48-lb hound mix with soulful eyes, a curious nose, and a personality that fills the room. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and ready to start his next chapter with a family of his own.
This handsome boy is energetic, playful, and very smart—the kind of dog who loves being involved in whatever you’re doing. Benji forms strong bonds with his people and thrives on connection and attention. Benji is very dog friendly, but he is not a good match for cats or small animals. He would also be happiest in a home with older children, as busy chaos can be a bit overwhelming for him.
Benji can be shy at first around men, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and loyal nature truly shines. He walks well on leash most of the time, though his hound instincts sometimes kick in when an exciting scent catches his attention!
A fenced yard would be ideal to help Benji burn off his youthful energy. After playtime, he’s more than happy to snuggle next to his person, chew on his favorite bones, or take a peaceful nap.
