Roxie is a 4-month-old mixed breed pup weighing 18 lbs and growing. She came into foster a bit underweight, but she’s doing great and is well on her way to becoming a healthy, happy girl. We estimate that she'll grow to be medium in size.
She’s all about typical puppy fun—playful, curious, and sweet. Roxie can be a little nippy during play (as puppies often are), but she responds well to redirection and is eager to learn. She’s been respectful with her toys so far and especially loves hard peanut butter bones—a true treat connoisseur.
Roxie does very well in her crate at night, sleeping soundly and keeping it clean. During the day, she’s still learning how to relax peacefully in her crate, but she’s making progress. She had started doing well with potty training, though winter weather caused a small setback with a few accidents—something that should improve quickly with consistency and better conditions.
This friendly girl would likely thrive in a home with kids and would love a canine friend. She’s very interested in the neighbor dog and wants to play, even if she’s still figuring out how to be brave when he barks at her.
Roxie is a sweet, playful puppy who’s learning the ropes and would do best with a family ready to continue her training, offer patience, and give her lots of love. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and will be available for adoption starting 2/1 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL# 16182.
